We Could Be Seeing A New Marvel Vs Capcom In 2017


It has been reported that there are rumors of a fourth Marvel vs Capcom installment for the series. it is also possible that it could be revealed during the PlayStation Experience which will be showing next week.

Even though there hasn’t been any word from Capcom or Marvel no one knows if there’s actually going to be an official release of MvC4. Even though there has been images that have popped up that could confirm that there will be another MvC in the works for either just PS4 or current gen consoles in general.

Below are the images that have been floating around the internet that have been making fans skeptical of there being another MvC game.


There has been reports at polygon that multiple sources tell Polygon that Marvel vs Capcom is currently in development and is destined to be released next year.

It’s been told that Capcom will plan to reveal Marvel vs Capcom 4 next week during Sony’s PlayStation Experience where the 2016 Capcom Cup Street Fighter 5 Tournament will be held. It was also stated that Marvel is planning to pull most of it’s roster from the cinematic universe that have become popularize throughout the years, which could also lead up to having a lot of the original X-men characters excluded from the roster.

When Polygon got in touch with Jay Ong, Marvel Games vice president, who had responded with a slightly neutral statemtent on the rumor,

“There’s nothing we can say at this time, let’s just say that we hear that a lot. We love our fans and we certainly want to please them. Beyond that we can’t say anything at this time. But who knows what the future holds?”

When Polygon contacted Capcom, the response was “Capcom does not comment on rumors or speculation”
